Single-Occupancy Restrooms

Single-Occupancy restrooms will be included in each new building and major renovation project at Virginia Tech, such that where possible every floor in these projects will have one Single-Occupancy restroom that complies with the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design and is accessible to the general public. The Single-Occupancy restrooms will be located nearby the men’s and women’s multi-user restrooms whenever possible.

Throughout 2016, the university will undertake studies to determine which existing buildings are the best candidates to have this single-occupancy restrooms installed. In conjunction with ADA and Accessibility Services, the Facilities Department will assist in studying and determining which existing buildings can have these restrooms added.

For additional information, refer to the university's Map of Single-Occupancy Restrooms or contact John Bush at 540-231-2933.
