Accessibility Studies

The Facilities Department is in the process of studying various precincts in the core campus to determine existing conditions that may inhibit accessible navigation by various faculty, students, staff, and visitors to Virginia Tech. In conjunction with ADA and Accessibility Services, Facilities staff will assist in studying and depicting existing conditions that can be modified to help make the precinct more accessible and easier to navigate for people with disabilities. These studies will assist the ADA and Accessibility Services in the preparation of small projects to remedy those conditions. Parameters are main entries to buildings and accessible routes to those entries.
