North Academic Precinct Pedestrian Study

North Academic Precinct Rendering

Anchored by Goodwin Hall and the Classroom Building, the North Academic Precinct is planned for significant future development, with upcoming projects including the Undergraduate Science Laboratory and the Multi-Modal Transit Facility. As a result, the university is anticipating increased pedestrian traffic throughout the area. The North Academic Precinct Pedestrian Study comprehensively planned for pedestrian movements and multi-modal access in the northern precinct of campus. The study also made recommendations for pedestrian-oriented landscape and open space concepts within this vital district of campus to encourage social interaction and “productive collisions” between students and faculty.
