Green RFP Program
We are pleased to announce that we received around 50 Green RFP applications for the 2022-23 academic year, totaling about $2.6 million. The proposals are under review and once the final projects have been selected, we will announce which ones will be funded. Thank you to everyone who took the time and effort to submit a Green RFP this year!
Giving Day
Join the Virginia Tech community for Giving Day, a 24-hour celebration of the Hokie Spirit and the power of giving back. You choose where you want your gift to have an impact, and special challenges mean that your gift can go further and do more good than at any other time of the year. If you'd like to donate to Sustainability, visit https://givingday.vt.edu and look for our name under 'Additional Areas of Support' once Giving Day arrives at noon on February 15, 2023.
Sustainability Sticker Contest
We want to see your creative side! The Office of Sustainability usually hands out stickers at tabling events around campus. This year, we want those stickers to feature designs made by students! Submissions are due by 1/31/2023. Use this form to submit your design.
Race to Zero Waste
Participate in the Campus Race to Zero Waste competition with us and help Virginia Tech minimize campus waste and increase recycling rates. As part of Virginia Tech's Climate Action Commitment, the school has set the goal to become a zero-waste campus by 2030. Through the Campus Race to Zero Waste competition, we will compete with other campuses around the country while also raising awareness of this goal within our own Virginia Tech community.

Intern of the Month
Katie Smith is our December Intern of the Month! Katie is the leader of our food team, focusing on reducing food insecurity on Virginia Tech's campus. Katie's favorite thing about this internship program is getting to work with groups like The Market and Live, Work, Eat, Grow that make differences in the lives of VT students and the Blacksburg community.
