Nam Nguyen

Nam Nguyen, executive director of energy and utilities, leads the Division of Campus Planning, Infrastructure, and Facilities in the production, delivery and management of the university’s supply-side utilities, as well as the demand-side campus energy consumption for energy efficiency, energy conservation and sustainability. Nguyen oversees the utility managers in the daily operations and employee management to ensure that all service delivery areas are continuously improved to increase reliability and efficiency to the highest levels and contain cost, while meeting environmental and safety standards. He is responsible for the strategic development of the Utilities Master Plan, in support of the Climate Action Commitment and Campus Master Plan. Nguyen is also responsible for building effective formal and informal communication channels with customers and other university departments that are integral to the success of Energy and Utilities such as the division's Facilities Operations and Capital Construction teams as well as Environmental Health and Safety.
