George E. “Dwyn” Taylor II





VICE PRESIDENT FOR FACILITIES AND CHIEF FACILITIES OFFICER
Dwyn Taylor has served as the Vice President for Facilities and Chief Facilities Officer for Virginia Tech since July 2024. Prior to that he served the university as the Assistant Vice President for Capital Construction. He joined Virginia Tech in June 2016 following a 27-year career as an active-duty Civil Engineer Corps Officer in the U.S. Navy and five subsequent years in the design-build construction industry. Dwyn graduated with honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and holds a Master of Science of Civil Engineering degree with focus on construction engineering/project management from the University of Texas. He attended the Executive Management Program at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and is a registered professional engineer.
