Facilities HR Service Portal

What is the Facilities HR Service Portal?

The Facilities HR Service Portal is a ticketing system built on the ServiceNow platform (also used by 4Help and BAMS) for Facilities employees to request HR services and assistance.

Who can access the portal?

All Facilities employees can access the portal with their Virginia Tech PID and submit a ticket. Currently, the portal offers services for both employees and supervisors to request HR assistance.

How to access the portal

• Log in to the Facilities HR Service Portal with your Virginia Tech PID
• Or go to the ticket form directly:
  • Use Facilities Recruiting and Onboarding to submit a ticket for your hiring needs
  • Use Facilities Employee Separation to submit a ticket when employee leaves your department
  • Use Facilities Supervisor Change to submit a ticket when an employee in your department changes supervisors
  • Use Facilities HR Service Inquiry to submit a ticket requesting HR assistance (all employees)

In the Facilities HR Service Portal, supervisors can access the following services:

• Recruiting and Onboarding
• Employee Separation
• Supervisor Change
• Facilities HR Service Inquiry

Error message while accessing the portal

If you receive an error message that states, “You do not have permission to see this catalog,” you have not logged in to the Facilities HR Service Portal. Click “Log in” in the upper right corner and enter your PID and password to log in. After you have logged in, click the link to the portal again, and you will see the correct landing page.

Requesting HR assistance for other services

For HR requests not included in the portal, please email opshr-g@vt.edu or make an in-person appointment with one of the Facilities HR team members.

Supervisors can find additional instructions here. The Facilities HR team is also available to provide in-person training with supervisors and managers upon request.
